VISTA 64bit - Premiere Pro CS3 - will not open .DV files
In Premiere Pro CS3 running on Windows XP a project file will open files that are the extension .dv (.DV files are exported from a MAC off of iMovie and transferd to PC.) However, i have noticed opening the same project on a VISTA 64bit in CS3 that the project reports that .dv files cannot be read. Seems strage to me as the program is basicly the same. wonder why the OS make such a differnce that it will not let me open .dv on VISTA?

.DV is indeed from a Mac. Its Mac's file for the DV Stream. Does your XP box perhaps have Quicktime Pro installed on it and the vista box does not? Just guessing as I was never able to open a .dv file on my PC Premiere setup even in XP.

Ahhhhhh, Quicktime! - Didn't realize that yet. Yeah, im sure thats what it is.
This Vista 64 is a new install of everything. Forgot about the quicktime.
