Canon 5D mk II Footage and Premier Pro CS3
I guess it's a toss up as to whether this post belongs in the 5D mk II forums or here, so I'll take my chances and post it here!
How are people editing the 5D mk II footage in Premier Pro CS3? I created a new Custom Project template, with the following settings (from memory): Size: 1920 x 1080 FPS: 30 PAR: 1.0 Audio: 44.1 kHz I can import the footage from the camera but editing becomes a pain because Premier doesn't seem to be able to keep up. For example, if I move the CTI through the footage, the project monitor display lags several seconds behind. Realtime playback is impossible. Is there something I'm missing on the project setup? My computer is Dell 720 with a Quadcore processor and 3GB RAM. It edits my Canon XH-A1 footage without a problem. Thanks, Julian |

How about on the Mac
I have a macbook pro with CS3 and would like to edit video from the 5D MKII. How would i go about doing that? What tools would i need since CS3 can't import the 5D MKII video codec? I would like to know a good workflow before purchasing this camera.
Thanks for any help Nick |
