DVD Burning - Unknown Error
Trying to burn a 1 hr. dvd in Elements 2 but it stops after about 40 minutes with the message "Unknown Error - 2130932483".
I tried again with another disc and got the same result, - most frustrating. The discs are Verbatim DVD -R 8X and the burner is a Lite-on DVDRW LH-20A1H. PC uses Intel Core 2 Duo 6400@ 2.13g. 2g RAM. Any suggestions ? RonC |

Doesn't sound like a hardware problem on the surface of it. If the burner will record data files without error, that would tend to support my thought. Can you output a .iso (Image) file from Elements? If so, that will take the hardware out of the mix and would indicate a software issue with Elements. Beyond that, I can't help you as I live with CS3.

Thanks Tripp. I cannot see any way of exporting or rendering from Elements to an ISO file. Also, does an ISO file include sound ?

Yes it does. The image file is a standardized package that includes all elements of a DVD video disk in a single wrapper. A .iso file created in one application should be able to be burned in another.
I don't know Elements, but look around in the project creation and file output area. Elements might just not make Image files. |
