Encore - Pauses in dvd
Hi guys
I'm writing a DVD (2mins of footage only) from encore. I've basically exported a uncompressed .avi out of premiere and I'm using this to write the disc. It writes no problem, however I playback I get pauses/glitches. About 5-6 times over the two mins. Anyone shed any light on this !? Cheers Mat |

What kind of blank DVDs are you using?
I was recently making some screener DVDs for a client in DVD Studio Pro. The discs would run fine in my Mac's DVD player, but I would get pixellation and skipping when I played them in my TV's DVD player. I made at least 8 different DVDs and the problems happened every time. I was using blank DVD+R discs. I switched to blank DVD-R discs and the problem went away immediately. I can't find the link where I got this info but apparently data is accessed different on DVD-R and DVD+R discs and it does make a difference to the DVD player. |

Thanks for your response. I don't think its anything to do with the discs as it also occurs in the disc preview. - It is not in the master avi however !??

Is it possible you are transcoding at too high a Bitrate? Sometimes older PCs and/or DVD players choke on the data.
