CS4 Licensing Issue Adobe not helping
I have the CS4 Master Suite collection that was part of a laptop purchase. It is fully licensed and valid. It runs fine on the Laptop. However, the laptop is not powerful enough to do AVCHD editing. So, I installed CS4 on my desktop. I entered the provided license key during the intall, and everything checked out fine. Now, when I try to launch an application, I get a licesing error "licensing for this product has expired". But, it has not expired. I called Adobe, and they send me from dept to dept (mostly in India), and yet to have resolved the issue. I am thinking about escalating this with Adobe, but not sure where that will take me. In the meantime, I cannot get some critical work done. Does anyone know of any options, or perhaps of something I may have done wrong in the install.

Did you deactivate the first version on the laptop before activating the version on the desktop? You shouldn't have to, but who knows what's going on at Adobe...

I did not deactivate the version on the latop. I was very clear with Adobe about it, and asked them if I should have done that, or If I needed to do that, and they said "no". Perhaps I could give that a try, but I am somewhat concerned if I cannot activate the version on the laptop again in the case that this approach does not work. Then I will be left with nothing. I have seen sites that advertise a fix for this issue by downloading an executable, but I am skeptical about it. I do not need another virus.
