Adobe CS5 on a laptop?

Hi guys,

I have been using Adobe CS2 (premiere pro and after effects) for quite some time now. I find that I am now traveling a bit more throughout asia and even africa this year. I wanted a smaller camera and got a Canon HF10 for portability, now I'm looking to upgrade my computer and Adobe software.

My question is: Will the either/both of the following laptops be able to handle Adobe CS5, editing AVCHD, some after effects and maybe a few layers of video for a project. If either, which is the better recommendation?

1. Macbook Pro, 15.4'': Intel Core i7 2.66GHz, 4GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GT330M with 512MB
2. Sony Vaio F115F/M: Intel Core i7 (quad core) 1.6GHz, 6GB Memory, NVIDIA GeForce GT330M with 1GB

I know that neither one of the graphic cards are under Adobe CS5's compatibility listing for the Mercury playback engine...will this mean that CS5 will be unusable on a laptop? Really need the portability.

Sorry if this has been discussed before but really appreciate your input!

Josh

Josh I'd go for the Sony and the Sony might be able to support MPE if you see http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/adobe-cr...-200-gpus.html
