Re: Adobe CS 5.5
mmm...I wonder if they will update all the products in CS5? Adobe usally releases some kind of update before or around NAB so they have something new to talk about. Usually its a .2 release or something like that like Premiere 4.2. I would like to see the MPE engine come to all it should be or maybe they will start with Intels quicksync technology.

Re: Adobe CS 5.5
I just hope this isn't a copy of Avid's MC 5.5 release which costs $870 just to upgrade from MC 5.0.
However, the subscription idea is great because there are many facilities wanting to switch to CS5 from FCS but can't afford $1800 per computer with 10+ computers. With the subscription, these facilities can get CS5 immediately at a low initial cost. Another thought about this update is that FCP 8 might actually be a killer update so Adobe must keep up. Or there are new devices being released at NAB which require upgrades in Premiere. MC 5.5 is the first NLE to support HDCAM-SR Lite that I know of. With the new solid-state HDCAM SR recorder, NLEs need to support these file formats. |

Re: Adobe CS 5.5
MC 5.0 -> 5.5 upgrade is $149 (downloadble)
I cannot comment at this time on any purported Adobe release. |
