Is it possible to open and edit a SWF file?

I have a client who needs a SWF Movie file (that has different chapters in it) edited into pieces. Is this possible? I was able to import the file into Premiere, but it only shows the opening menu part. (I need access to be able to edit the different chapters of video in the file).

Any help much appreciated!

Re: Is it possible to open and edit a SWF file?

I found this on the internet, disclaimer, I haven't used it: SWF to Video Converter - convert Flash to AVI, FLV, WMV, MOV, MPEG, etc.

The excellent freeware Super(c), from erightsoft.com can convert some .swf files, if made with specific codecs (flv or VP6, IIRC) and to sizes divisable by 16, etc. (The lastest version of Super installs some 3rd party things you may not want, however. Read the EULA before installing.)

HTH...
