Just for the record here. My Windows machine certainly DID install the latest updates, and I never had any "do you want to" type prods. One day it was on CC2017, now it's 18. It's fine incidentally, but if you have the red CC app running in the background, it does look like it downloads and installs if it feels like it.

The actual Creative Cloud app will update itself, but the apps will not.
