Outputting widescreen to 4:3 to camera while working?

Hi guys,
I commonly shoot in the GL2's native 16:9 mode which puts the footage in 1.2 ratio. However, my production monitor doesn't have the 16:9 switch so I can't watch my footage in widescreen until I export it to a Standard project and resize the clip to 76%. Is there any way to change this? Thanks.

This topic comes up from time to time, and unfortunately I don't think there's any sort of box that will do this for a reasonable price. Does your monitor have a vertical size adjustment? If so you might be able to "squash" the picture enough to get it into the 16:9 proportion. Otherwise, I think there are now some economical LCD monitors that are native 16:9. See our monitors forum for discussion of these: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?f=112
