Interesting. It's the Matrox card.

If I boot AE first, which uses the Matrox WYSIWIG display, and then boot up PP, I get a message telling me the Matrox realtime plug-in could not start and that I should close the other program and reopen Premiere. Fine.

But if I go ahead and open a project without the Matrox plug-in, the shuttle is seamless. Smooth and beautiful. The moment I open PP first (or on its own), so that the Matrox plug-in can load, I get choppy shuttling. Bummer.

But you say you're not having that problem? Any hints for a work-around. I'm on PP 1.5, and previous Matrox Hotfix (as the new one won't work with 1.5).

Anyone else reporting similar effects?
