Best format for DVD creation
Hi,
After I finish editing all my 1080i footage what is the best way to export to DVD. There's so many options, compressions, codecs. I used to do everything with a video card but I sold it because it didn't support HDV and now I'm learning my way around the compression/codec ropes. Oh, I use Premiere Pro 2.0. |

Are you going to author your DVD in a seperate program? If so, try one of the MPEG-2 DVD presets in Premiere Pro. I recommend the "NTSC DV 4x3 High Quality 7Mb CBR 1 Pass" preset.
If you don't have a standalone DVD authoring program, you can export to a basic DVD from within Premiere Pro (File>Export>Export to DVD). You should still be able to use the "NTSC DV 4x3 High Quality 7Mb CBR 1 Pass" preset. Quote:
