Premiere 2.0 + Sony HDVM51u

Alright, been using premiere and the deck for a while.

I have a component out from the deck into a 32" Samsung HDTV. I use the TV to preview my footage.

It works great going NLE>Firewire>Deck>Component>Monitor with SD footage, but when I try HDV footage, premiere won't register that there is a firewire device attached.

Ideas?

This has happeded before it's a setting in the camera I belive. Do a search over on the Z1U forum and you should find the answer. I'm pretty sure it's been hashed out there. I think. I think it has something to do with how you have the output set on the camera auto vs. manual. Sorry i'm not much help I just remember seeing the thread somewhere.

The deck is actually a deck, not a camera.

There's a setting on the deck that deals with output. If it's set to auto that's your problem. Had the same one when I was using the sony gear about this time last year. let me see if I can find the thread.
