Premiere Pro 1.5 will not recognize Canon XHA1
Has anyone else had this situation, when trying to capture from the Canon XH A1, Premiere Pro 1.5 will not detect it. 2X checked all connections, all is fine. Plugged in my VX2100, and it was detected instantly, so I know my connections are good.
Is there a patch from Adobe available to allow PP1.5 to detect the XH A1? Any help / comments are really appreciated. SW |

I assume the Canon is HD. Premiere is looking for a standard def signal. Either download the HD plugin or capture in standard def.

The 1.51 update, available from the Adobe site allows for HDV. Better yet, upgrade to 2.0 and if you have any $$$ left after this upgrade, get Aspect HD as well.

When I first plugged in my Sony Z1U, PPRO 1.5 didn't recognize the camera and I was not doing HD. I had to Google some and found a small update like a driver or something... if I remember correctly it's a Windows thing, not an Adobe problem.
You might be better of capturing with HDVSplit... freeware. |
