PP2 and 24P at DVinfo.net

Hello....my first time posting here.
My friend and I are shooting a documentary with 2 Canon XL2 cameras. We will be using 24P in anticipation of transfer to film. My question ( and I will have more as time goes by ) is:
What problems might I encounter when trying to edit the 24P DV footage in PP2?
Are there links that any of you know that might help support me in my editing in 24P?

We plan to submit to film festivals and also to burn to DVD, is there any conversion that we will have to do to burn 24P to DVD?

My learning curve is steep so and time is limited....so I'm trying to learn as much as possible, as quickly as possible.
