Ok,
I've noticed that even my client's pc has hyper threading with it's 3.4GHz P4, PP2 uses only about half of processing power. So maybe CS3 would have double speed... |
Clearing the HDrive
In the past when I have gotten the "error compiling" message when doing a final render, I do a hard-reboot. That generally does the trick.
This past Friday, I had to do the same thing for a 60 minute doc (edited in Premiere Pro 1.5 with Prospect HD) The client wanted me to dump a copy to HDV. I got the "ec" burp, so I turned off the computer, re-booted and used Cineform's export to HDV tape setting. It took three hours for it to render and print to tape but it worked. And I only had 30 gigs available on my HDD. |
well i got a dam error compiling movie in pp3 was pissed. not sure what caused it. lots of effects? dunno i have to update my windows its been a few months, not sure if that will have any effect on it.
