Sony F3 - Ki Pro Mini Odd Clips
On a shoot recently with the Sony PMW - F3 and Ki Pro Mini, using 3 x SanDisk 64GB 90MB/s cards. The Ki Pro Mini was triggered by the timecode from the camera. When the footage was brought into the edit, there appeared to be 7 clips that were exactly 25 frames. No footage was missing but it seems odd that these clips appeared.
I have heard that pushing the preview on the camera disturbs the timecode and produces odd clips. Hope someone can help. |

Re: Sony F3 - Ki Pro Mini Odd Clips
Matthew T. - If the Ki Pro Mini was set for Arm Recording and it was presented with incrementing timecode, then it would produce a recording. Via timecode, there isn't any way to differentiate a recording from playback or review of a clip on the camera.
If you need assistance with the Ki Pro Mini, feel free to contact AJA Technical Support. Hope this is helpful, Jon Thorn Senior Product Manager AJA Video Systems, Inc. |
