Why is exFAT absent with the original KiStor drives?

To users who might soon be switching over to AJA once they implement DNxHD MXF OP1a from the PC side, one burning question we all have is this:

When will we be able to format original KiStor media as exFAT? HFS is not Windows compatible in any sense and original KiStor media currently is all HFS formatted. We know the Ki Pro Ultra supports exFAT, but what about the Ki Pro Rack?

Using the Ki Pro Rack with a firmware update for exFAT and DNxHD MXF OP1a would make perfect sense since the price for that got chopped in half. AJA, this would be a godsend to MXF OP1a facilities and PC based facilities.
