Stock Xl2 mic or Rode Stereo Video Mic?

Hi everyone, I've been searching for a while now for some opinions between these 2 mics and I haven't found any yet and I need some help. I've read a lot of good things about the RSV mic but nothing on how it compares to the stock xl2 mic. Can anyone help or point me in the right direction if this has been discussed before.

I've been using an AT897 and it sounds great but I want to be able to hear everything around me in stereo. I was just wondering if the RSV would be perform better than the stock xl2 mic at capturing ambient sounds at further distances. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

I found the answer I was looking for. Now I have another question.

Does anyone out there want to trade their AT822 for my AT897? Let me know if you interest.

Thanks
