hiss on XL1S but not XL1
I'm currently editing a piece that I shot with 2 cameras. One was an XL1S and the other was an XL1. They both were recording at the same time.
However, the XL1S has a loud tape hiss where the old XL1 has little to no tape hiss. The room I was recording in was very quiet besides the people speaking. Has anyone else noticed the XL1S has a louder tape hiss? I was using the on board mics. Is there anything I could possibly do to equal the two systems out. I'm going to have to use all the audio from the XL1, which isn't a prob. But in the future, it might be a problem. As always, any suggestions or comments would be helpful. Thanks Annie Cheatham |

Are you sure you used the exact same audio settings. If one was
on auto gain or used a manual setting higher/lower then the other that might explain the difference as well.
