Size of BBG?

About how big is a Rycote baby ball gag? Is it larger than a tennis ball or about the size of a SM58 head?

The BBG is 4" in diameter accross the mic axis and 4 1/2" deep.
It's kinda egg shaped. The rubber grommet is 3/4 deep.

It's expensive, but well made. This isn't your standard cheap crap. It's good expensive crap. (It's very nice) I have the BBG here in my hand, so the measurements are fairly accurate.

Frank Granovski says they're a tad smaller than his.

Thanks Bryan.I had a hard time finding it on the rycote site but i eventually found it.Looks like a good alternative to having a big furball on top of the cam.

It does a super job, it has a lot more dead air space inside than the miniscreens . On a 20mm mic you have more than 1 1/2" of dead air all around the capsule.

You can get a merkin or fur cover for it. You camn dress it up with a couple of phoney eyeballs and a smile. Kids will love you.

So that's what they're called. I still haven't bought one of those. Bigger wouldn't be better in my case. My cams are too small.

Yeah a ME66 and Lightwave EQ are too much for the top of my VX2k. I plan on getting the 64 capsule and the BBG.
