which lav for i-river?

Any recommendations on an affordable mini-plug lavalier which will sound okay with the iriver 790? I'll be running it straight into the iriver with no mixer. Will be using occassionally as backup for production, but mostly for recording script meetings and research interviews. Some of the meetings will involve several people sitting around a living room or at a table in a bar. The sound doesn't need to be especially good, but I do need to make out what people are saying. Will a centrally located omni lav do the trick, or should I look into a boundary mic or something?
Thanks,
Adam

Adam, there are few special considerations when using an iRiver. Get the mic that suits the situation and it should work fine with the iRiver, although you may have to tweak the settings or tell the iRiver that it is a line-in rather than mic-in.
