DSLR Shooters - A new Juiced Link Approach

I see a new approach being taken by Juiced Link to deal with DSLR sound issues.

Very interesting, but the overall form factor is too bulky.
The Juiedlink boxes work great and I love mine with my video cameras, but due to the overall bulk factor of the box and adapter, myself personally woudl rather record my audio off camera and sync in post.

I love the idea of this, but you end up paying so much just to end up with a single usable channel, where with a similar cost for a Zoom you end up with essentially 4 possible channels (of better quality too). Zoom with something like Pluraleyes still seems like the thing to do.

Can't wait for Magic Lantern for the 7D though. Or alternatively, Canon, why don't you just give us a simple firmware option to zap that AGC?!
