Best recorder

I'm looking into getting an mp3 recorder to stick on the groom in some wedding videography. Which would be the best to purchase? I've been looking into irivers but haven't decided anything.

Also, the giant squid mics are for ifp 700, 800 and 900 series according to the website. Where do the newer irivers fall?

Ryan, if you search in the wedding forum you'll get lots of discussion about this.

The irivers are great, but hard to find now, and probably not as good as the Olympus recorders that some are using.

As far as I know, the only irivers that work are the 700/800 series. The others don't have a mic level input.
