It is nice, but is it really worth $15,000? I can buy a new car for that.

Yeah
It looks awesome and is quite a bit smaller than the 50 pound with case alesis hard drives we use!
A new car for 15K$? I'll take the recorder.

Some sound guys on features make like $200k/yr, so they do have $15k to spend on a recorder like that.

Right, and often these system become available for rental so you can try it out before using it. I think it would be cool for smaller more intimate music recording also. Some times the bigger rigs dominate the space and take away from that front porch feeling!
