Note that this update only affects the INPUTS, as noited in the first post, not the onboard mics, whose levels are still ganged together. Still a very nice update.

Same problem

I'm having a similar problem too. I followed directions just like it said, but it doesn't give me the added feature it says it would. Also, what is this about turning the power on with play/pause button???? That doesn't work!!!

Are you sure you read that correctly?

How to update the system software

4) Then turn power on while holding down the [PLAY/PAUSE] key.

5) Move the cursor to “OK” by using the [DIAL].

6) Push the [DIAL] to start the system update.
You omitted the "while holding down" bit.

If your unit has stamina switched on, you can't access the 4 ch. Turn the stamina off.

I held it down Colin for several seconds. It doesn't turn the device on.

Russ,

To put it another way....

1. Press and hold the PLAY/PAUSE button.
2. Actuate the power slide switch.
3. Once the unit turns on, release the PLAY/PAUSE button and power switch.

Thanks Mark!! That was exactly what I needed. It rebooted and everything is working fine now.
