Beachtek on HC1

i'm willing to buy the A1 Sony but the PAL version has not been released.

I'm willing to compromise and get a HC1 and put a Beachtek on it.

However dunno which one to buy.

I'll be using a shotgun Sennheiser and some maybe some radio lapels.

The A1 is definitely on sale in the USA and i believe also that at least one UK company (PAL-land) said that they will have stock on Sept.9th (which obviously was a few days ago).

So A1 PAL should be out there or, just about out there.

you are right. i found the HVR-A1E it in the UK.

however the price is ridiculous. i cannot find a price that even comes close to the NTSC version.

i wonder if the audio break out box is as good as the Beachteks. really thinking of getting the HC1

I know that the A1E is available in the UK at a price that is approx. GBP1650 (inc. VAT).

And before you do the conversion to US Dollars, remember 2 things:
1) the US Dollar is very weak, historically, to the GB Pound at the moment at about 1.8dollars = 1pound.
2) EVERYTHING is very expensive in Britain. Everyone in Britain gets ripped off, all the time, every time, on everything. This is a (seemingly) immutable law of Physics. Unfortunately.
