Zoom h1 replacement at DVinfo.net

Because my 3rd zoom recorder just died on me I"m looking for a zoom h1 replacement with about the same functionality and size, but nothing from the zoom brand anymore. I often need to place such a recorder on a table to record a speech so the build in mics need to be decent. It also need to have a mike input so that I can attach a lav to it. What my zoom h1 didn't have was the possibility to record to a safety track which I actually want in my next recorder.

Anyone any suggestions?
