Sound Device Mix Pre vs. Shure FP 23 at DVinfo.net

Need a field mixer and have narrowed the field down to these two. They appear VERY similar (as in one company builds both but lables them differently). Does anyone know of a reason to go with one or the other. The SD MP seems very popular on this board and appears to be about $100 less than the Shure.

check out the Shure P4M, I use one and very pleased with it
