need a lav for broadcast purposes

what would be the best lav to get for broadcasting purposes for a show. Is anything from Lectrosonics fair game? I've already got a sennheiser EWG2, should i look into upgrading the mic rather than the whole set? Pls suggest/recommend as i'm new to wireless audio, thanks

ps price is not an issue, budget is around 1-3k

Lectrosonics UHF or digital with a tram 50 is a very good setup, and one you should be able to reach under $3k. Tram is available configured for Lectro.

yeah looks like tram 50 will be the weapon of choice. Can i just buy the mic and hook it with my sennheiser EWG2, will that work? Why exactly are the lectrosnic units so expensive, what featues do they ahve that the sennhesiers aren't doing? (besides the mic ofcourse)
