Some sound mic advice

Just searching the forum I came across a good test using the rode video mic into the Edirol R1. My question is would this set up be ok for outdoor location work with wind jammer or should I go for the slightly more expspensive ntg2/1. Or would niether of these be a good solution.

Hi Greg,

The NTG1 or NTG2 would be better than the VideoMic, although it's pretty cute and effective for what it is. There's a Dead Cat Rode sells to cover the VideoMic, BTW.
