Fred, I just wasn't sure if using two pads on the same circuit chain would negatively impact on the sound quality. For example: is using one 20db pad identical to using two 10db pads in terms of sound quality? Does using more than one pad inline introduce noise into the system?

I gather from your response it doesn't...

To my knowledge there's no difference between
using two 10s or one 20.

On the Z1 menu, you can trim the db's for the ME66, or increase, if you wish. How does this relate to the pad issue?

I have two 8202's also (like Fred) and use them with my A-T 835ST into my Beachtek DXA-8. Anyway.... I think they have a loss of -3dB. So, two inline would probably make that loss near -6dB. So, if it is under 30, that you need, just bump it to the next level would be simplier. Those things are about 5" long. Chaining them hangs out in the air a bit ;)
