Shotgun or Hypercardioid
If you could only get one to start building your set-up for a documentary, which type of mic would you get:
Rode NT3 or Rode NTG-2 Assuming most interviews will be done indoors, BUT, there could be some scenes that will need to filmed outdoors in crowded areas. I know the NT3 is good for indoor interviews, but could I take it outside and get decent audio on a boom? and the opposite goes for the NTG-2, good for boom outside, but not as good inside? Does one perform better than the other in the venue in which it's not supposed to do 'as well'? Obviously I'd like to get both, but you know how it goes... Thanks for your feedback. Mike |
