New Letus adapter in September?

Now, what is this?

Zacuto's Exclusive Letus35 Elite Adapter

Is it a new adapter or just some kind of Zacuto mod?

I think its just an Extreme with the external back focus adjustable mount of the Ultimate and maybe a new glass. Good idea actually for Letus to do this.

On another note: how come I never come across shooter's like the one pictured on that Zacuto page? I think heels on a camera op are really under rated.

LOL

On another note, I wonder if current Extreme owners will be able to upgrade to the new GG...

It looks like they are selling the upgrade to the BF adjustment for 600. Seems kinda steep.

This is what they say at the Letus camp:

"Ola,
That adapter currently only available through Zacuto. We have been too busy with the Ultimate to launch another adapter so they are currently pre-selling the Elite. This adapter is exactly the same as the Extreme except for the back focus ring. There will be an upgrade module available in the future for those with Extremes who find they need the back focus ring. However, unless you are using a large variety of different lens brands and find the back focus changing a lot, you will not need the upgrade. I use three lens brands on my personal Extreme (Nikon, Canon, and Minolta) and have never had to adjust the back focus.

Aaron"

I posted about this a few days ago

It seems you've had more success making your post 'stick'.

Zacuto and Letus have both told me that, as mentioned above, this Elite model is actually a modified Extreme from Letus. I would like to think that the Ultimate includes substantially refined optics to the Extreme/Elite.

Jus.
