Market street?

Steve was your ninja footage shot in San Francisco. Are you from the bay?

Steev Dinkins April 4th, 2005 11:34 PM

Martin, yes, that was shot on Market street in SF.

Dino, your earlier discoveries helped me make my adapter. Thanks for the documentation you made. I heard from Stephen Birdsong that you guys were working on something together. Good to hear. Keep me posted here or on IM.

<<<-- Originally posted by Dino Reyes : nice little ninja master street interview... Steev, you put together such an awesome device with some real good ideas. i'm currently working on (2) updated versions based on some of those ideas.

I've also come up with a prototype idea that would be more inexpensive and also be stronger/lighter/shorter in size. i haven't posted the schematics till i know it will work - but the design is exquisite. The most important thing about this model, is that it will work with a follow focus kit.

i also just picked up a nice pana gs400, and using the same design, i'm also designed a micro dv lens adapter. basically, it should be itty-bitty with perhaps a fast/wide prime lens at the end. i hope to have it ready by summertime.

ideas, ideas... stay tuned!!

That's great to hear! Just in time for me to start building mine. I have an Optura Xi so it would probably be similar enough to the GS400 to work with slight differences right?

Dude, damn riot . . . awesome. I think the best kind of humor at all is "inside joke" kind of humor. Most people just wouldn't understand how damn funny that really is. Gotta be a filmmaker. Great job.

Steev, I think you have a business brewing.

You start making those to sell and I'm sure you'd have some buyers...

I'd consider it...

...As long as it'll work with my NVM7 VHS Camcorder.

Eniola Akintoye July 26th, 2005 11:09 AM

Steeve,
That was freaking FUNNNNY!.

I laughed my head off men!.

So does any of these guys that makes 35mm selling them or what?

Ben Winter July 29th, 2005 10:00 PM

I'd totally offer up $250 to anyone who could make me one for a GL2. I'm usually a do-it-yourself kinda guy, and if no one wants to I'll probably resort to that, because really...who wants the gratification of using something you made yourself? Pfft...

And the funny thing here is(look two posts up)...I just finished making my own adapter for that much. And it works. How sad that I actually posted that....

Steev! That was too precious! The chap really brought a ray of sunshine into what is a very overcast London morning - oh yes! .. Great camera work and DoF too.

Grazie

Steev...

Just freaking funny... NOW For us that haven't shot on the street like you, can you give a little insight on how many hours, and any more on this kind of street video shooting. Because it looks like this was done while only one person was getting their shoes done. And there are different angles of the Shoe Shine Dr. So I was just wondering what would be involved that we might not realize... thanks
