OT : Running a LED and on/off switch

Just wondering if anyone can help me out with this : I am trying to run an LED on/off switch between my battery 2AA and CD motor .

There are 4 eyeholes :

2 for the LED
2 for the ON/OFF switch.

Now, I can't get the LED to work no matter what I do. The LED is the only eyeholes that list + / - and the other 2 eyeholes do not. Wondering if someone knows a way to get this going!
