I agree, Oscar, though there are some other people on the forums who use F1.8's and are satisfied. I have an F1.4 and it works noticeably better than the F1.8. My friend has an F1.2 and that works even better.
The 135mm F2.8 works so well because it is equivalent to a 50mm F1.0 (F1.04 to be precise), and also because the long focal length really affects the field of view of the background behind the subject. 50mm lenses around F1.0 are really expensive, but there are lots of inexpensive F1.2's and many downright cheap F1.4's out there. |
