Where to buy Camera Mounts?

I want to buy a nikon mount for my home made adapter....but where could I find one? Just the mount...nothing else. Is there somewhere that sells these things?

Matthew, that is one of the fundamental challenges of the homemade adaptor. Mounts are hard to come by. The one you probably want does not exist. That's why many people have their lenses glued, taped, and other guerilla techniques.

You could try finding a Nikon Reverse T Mount adaptor, and pair that with a T Mount to 55mm (or the thread size of your choice) adaptor, so you can mount your lens on a barrel.

If you want to use M42 lenses, I have a few machined adaptors M42 to 55mm.

I used a macro ring that goes between the lens and the still camera to extend the focal length. The one I got has almost the needed focal length, so it's a perfect instant 'tube'.
Usually they come in three like this: http://www.bdimitrov.de/kmp/macro/ext_auto.jpg
I think you have to be lucky to find it cheap, but I thought I'd mention it.
