I have been clicking your name but nothing seems to happen (got an error messsage) but o well....

I am even thinking of coming to England for X-mas Holiday but I should have gotten the adapter, tested it and if I have any complains, then I should be able to do that by then, but hopefully, everything goes on fine.

Also, I do not want a situation whereby I get to have mine and then, more new stuffs are added/changed. You know what I mean, I want to make sure I have the best and best of all the equipment that you gat basicly.

Is there a price one can pay for free upgrades? That way, we, your very first customers can enjoy the fact that we supported you work and effort in making ours and your life much easier.

By the way, do you think your 15mm Rod can be used with the Micro35 M2 Adapter?

Wayne Kinney November 3rd, 2005 02:54 PM

Eniola,
my email is waynekinney@hotmail.com

If you can make it to the UK then all the better. Concerning updated versions of the adapter, the design will stay the same for some time.

The 15mm rods are the standard 60mm from centre to centre, so in theory should fit the M2.

Thanks,
Wayne

SG35 - New test footage uploaded

Hello,
I just shot some test footage with the SG35 unit. All shots are with my 1 CCD cheapo panasonic camcorder.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/wayne.k...sg35clip02.htm

Settings were as follows:

Cam:
Shutter speed: 1/50th sec

Aperture: F2.0 - no gain.

----------------

SG35:
Ground Glass Speed - Set to slowest speed throughout.

----------------

SLR lens settings:

Aperture: F1.4 fully open

50mm Nikon Nikkor S

Im very happy with the results concidering it's from a cheap 1 CCD panny.

The real tests will be with the DVX100 which i hope to get at the end of the week, my customers HD100 tests which should be here thursday/friday and the z1 tests at the end of the month.

Please let me know what you think.

SG35 - DVX100 - First Test Footage and Pictures

Hello,

I carried out a test shoot with the DVX100 and SG35 today. A big thank you to Stephen Pipe for making time to test the SG35 with his DVX100. We put together a quick sequence indoors, lit by a single 350w tungsten. December weather in the UK rendered outside shooting a no go.

Here is a clip, 26MB Quicktime 7 (please update to latest quicktime version to play) h.264 codec:

And below are some pictures of the setup:

There are a few changes i want to make to the SG35 before offering it to dvx100 users, which im working on now.

Any comments would be great.

Justin Tran December 1st, 2005 09:36 PM

man that setup is looks rather big, how is it for portability/handheld stuff? DLing the footage now....

was that a dvx100 or 100a?

Wayne Kinney December 2nd, 2005 05:40 AM

Hello, thanks for your comments.

Yes, that matte box really added to the overall length.

It was DVX100a.

Will be testing with the z1 tomorrow.
