Quite some time ago I enquired about autosave for Vegas and downloaded Edward Troxel's script - but never got around to installing it.
Last night after working on a project for hours and forgetting to save, the computer crashed - coincided with me hitting a key in quick succession. I couldn't even switch the computer off - had to pull the plug.
I thought I had lost all my work, but hadn't as on restarting Vegas I got asked if I wanted to open the file that had been open at the crash, but then should save it under another name. I did and had lost only a few minutes.
I then installed Edward's script, but now ask: "Clearly there is some sort of autosave in Vegas or I wouldn't have been able to get the file back as I did. What is the difference between this and your script Edward?"
Another disturbing thing is now occurring - could it be associated?. My computer just spontaneously shuts down with a click. It's a new computer and has been going perfectly, but now some gremlin is in the works. :-(
