this video has some outstanding text effects and graphical overlays. I care more about the text effects more than anything else. Does anybody know of any plugins or something for this effect?

The text orientation, at the beginning, is based on a 3D space. You can do that in After Effects by using 3D layers and cameras, the animation of single letters appearing in a given sequence can be done by using one of the animation presets of AE, the moving glow can be done by animating the position of the Glow effect. So all of that can be done by using After Effects with no additional plugin.
