Flying Camera is build by Artur Gajdziński, Arutr is Helicopter pilot and I'm radio control camera operator. That chopper isn't commercially available.

Buck, flying RC heli's for video work is a long road to learn. I've been at it a few years, and you pretty much have to drop every other project and dedicate a fair bit of money before you reach a point that you are getting good footage.

Fun journey, but also very time consuming.

I finally got a look at the chopper Artur uses - Jeez! It is a Moose. It is probably harder to fly than the typical Hughes, Sikorsky, etc. I know from doing a variety of sports - you develop 'muscle memory' - a feel for your position on a board, etc. There's no possibility of direct MM using a remote. I guess it is like new young surgeons doing Stereotactic surgery vs. simply Cut-and-Fish. Very cool. Got to give you and Derek kudos.

I agree with Derek it is a long road. But I do not agree that you have to drop all other projects. My company is in the early stages of adding this to our full size R44 video work. Don't believe everything you read or see on Youtube about NRI.

NRI and other autopilot ships are not turnkey. If you don't have baseline knowledge about heli's, you will never succeed.

Derek again I agree with you that understanding how to fly a RC machine is needed before you can even begin to use a system such as NRI. But they do reduce the time needed to fly and begin to make productive video.

RealFlight Sim has been a great tool for our company to start with and a real eye opener on the skills needed. But as the hours go by we realize it is well within our grasp if we keep the process going.

I will heed your advice on NRI since you have lead me in the right direction over the last month. Thank You
