I don´t have a HD display, but I would like to have the extra resulution to work with in edit and post (pan&scan, and so on).

I am curius about the downconverting process: What does a downconverted image look like when viewed on a regular PAL televsion tube? ( HD -> DV ) does the downconverted HD it look better than odinary DV ?

I'm unclear of your question. The JVC HD camcorders are NTSC only.

And your see your editing on an RGB monitor.

Or is the regular DV mode better??

Downconverted HD looks much sharper than normal DV mode.
