Well, I just ordered my tripod today. Its a Bogen 525MVB with 503 head and 75mm leveling ball with bag and 523 LANC controller. Should be here in about 10 days or so.

Anyone else using this setup with a PD170 and how do you like it?

I have that tripod combo and I like it alot. The tripod is a little heavy but very sturdy. I'm thinking of getting a mid-level spreader for it though. Let me know how you like the LANC controller. Thinking of getting one of those too.

Did you ever get that mid-level spreader for the tripod? If so, how do like it and where did you get it from? Price? I just got my tripod, haven't received the LANC controller as yet. Supposed to ship on the 5th so hopefully maybe next week I'll get it.
