Hey, I don't think any of us (my friends and I, how made the video) really realized that this award meant anything, but I think its all sinking now!
We won the
2004 National Stedent Television Award for Excellence
from
The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences - Nashville/Midsouth Chapter!
It was in the Arts & Entertainment/Documentary category.
We won it all for a short movie we made called "Run Rodger Run"
When I get the clip up on the internet I'll post a link but I think its pretty cool. We all got a nice plaque type award, or its really more of a diploma looking award, but we also got one nice crystal galss trophy with it engraved into it. I'll post a picture if I get a chance to take one.
Now our video will compete in the Nation and if we are qualified we will all get to fly out to LA for the awards ceremony there.
BTW We're 16 and 17 years old...so we all thought this was pretty cool. We were finalists with the same video in the Western Kentucky University Film Festival a few weeks ago also.
Its amazing how differently the Academy critques videos than people closer to your age.
