are sunpak polarizing filters good? because i noticed that they're way cheaper than the tiffen's etc...

From what I've read, these are right at the bottom end. How much cheaper is it that Tiffen's polarizer, or Cokin's or Hoya's?

Because of the impact on your captured video, I think anything that goes on the front of the lens should be as good as you can afford (or maybe just a bit better).

Water-clear glass, multi-coated, brass threads, etc., are all important to filter performance.

I've had good Hoya and Tiffen filters but have finally settled on B+W as uniformly the best available for my use.

Oh, I did buy a Sony kit for my PC110 that seems to be fairly good.

12 bucks for a sunpak pol filter, around 30 for a tiffen...

That's strange. The Tiffen, Cokin and Hoya polarizers are all under $30 bucks here. Canadian Bucks (.72 US.) Some places sell them for even cheaper. Have you checked with B&H?
