Welcome to the Digital Cinema forum.

This area is intered for the discussion of pre-production, production, and post-production of digital cinema, whether it be short films, feature length films, music videos, TV shows, or anything else following a similar cinematic format.

In order to keep this section organized, we would like you to follow these rules:

1) Please make the nature of your post clear in the title.

2) Please make sure there are no other more appropriate forums for your question, such as our lighting (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=41) or camera forums (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/index.php?s=).

3) Links to viewing your video go in our DV For The Masses forum (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=39).

We welcome production blog type threads. For simplicity, please make the title of the thread "BLOG:" plus the title of your production.

Thank you!

Just to follow up, folks, please realize that this is not a Gear forum. If your topic is a specific piece of hardware, a camera, a light, a tripod, etc., we already have dedicated boards for that. Think of this as a Techniques / Methods / Challenges type of forum... feel free to discuss the issues of independent digital filmmaking that confront the creative artist in the process of pre-production, production, etc. Thanks!

I agree; a lot of people ask about the new FX1 or Z1 HDV cameras from Sony for indie films, and those questions are best to be asked in our FX1/Z1 forum (http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=75) and so on.

Happy filmmaking!
