I bought 2 rolls of baking paper at Williams-Sonoma.com. No lie. It withstands the temperatures of film/video lights & diffuses like a poor man's spun.

Or you could buy a sheet of the real thing, such as:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=44042&is=REG

(Rosco 3026) for the same price and have something much more durable. Toughspun and similar diffusion material is not expensive by the sheet and is just as easy to order online as baking paper. It's also wider and stronger and comes in a range of qualities.
