I just got my first FireStore FS-4 and have come up with this initial screen as listed in the subject line. I say yes and then I am told to power down the drive because it is in use. I do this and then when I repower up I have this same screen.

Any ideas as to what I need to do?

If you just got the unit, I would suggest that you contact Focus technical support. It sounds like the HDD is not connected properly.

it sounds to me like the hdd has not been formatted, or possibly not initialized... is there an option to do that within the fs4 menu? typically, you would do it with the drive connected directly to the computer.
