Hi
I just updated to Edius 6.05 from 4.6. My main source of media is from DSLR. Is it still need of transcode to HQ? I just finished a short 3 minutes that I edited in native files. Will the transcoded HQ file give my more room for CC or is it the same thing?
Are you transcoding or not and if, why?

color correction would be fine using native files. I only convert to HQ if i will do some titling or VFX in AE.

Depends as well on how powerfull your system is, I actually convert all my videomaterial to HQ just because it runs so smooth afterwards with editing and color correction, especially fast scrolling the timeline is without any hickups. I always render a master HQ file out which I use for further delivery to HD, dvd, web and I use tmpgenc combined with a leadtek winfast transcoding card for this. The rendertimes from a HQ file back to a HQ file are ridiculous fast and saves me a lot of time if I have to make a small editing change and re-render again.
